Cookie notice
Masar Deutsch sets one cookie of its own, and only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or refuse. The few usage statistics we keep are daily totals counted on our own server, without any cookie (privacy policy, section 2).
The cookie

Because the service cannot work without it, this cookie does not need your consent. If you block it, you cannot sign in.
Storage on your device
The app also keeps some information in your browser's storage (not cookies) so it can work quickly and offline: a copy of your progress and settings (including your Mistake Map, First 30 Days checklist, offline answer queue and optional PIN-hashed family profiles under your account prefix), drafts of your written answers, small records of where you stopped in a lesson, downloaded offline packs, and course audio it has already played. The free placement test on our website also keeps its attempt token in the browser's session storage, so that a reload can continue the test, and the site may note in session storage that its short opening animation has already been shown. These are not used to track you. When you sign out, the app removes everything it keeps for you on the device: the progress copy and settings, family profile PIN hashes, all drafts (unit writing tasks and Read more answers), the small lesson records (where you stopped, and certificate records waiting to be sent) and the level remembered for this browser session. Course audio and offline packs already downloaded may stay in the browser's cache: they are course content, not personal information. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. To remove everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Other sites
The font the app uses (Readex Pro, for English and Arabic) is served from our own site: no other company receives a request when it loads, and it sets no cookie. Payment pages at Paymob or Paddle may use their own cookies; their own notices apply.
On the sign-up, contact, waitlist and free placement test forms, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a program, is using the form. It loads from Cloudflare and processes technical information from your browser (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) for that security check only, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Cloudflare, which carries all traffic to our site, may also set its own strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to tell people from automated traffic. Neither is used for advertising or to follow you across sites.
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this notice and ask for your consent first.
