Our method

We believe German is learned by using it, a little every day, in the right order. So the course is one route: you start where the placement test puts you, and each unit builds on the last.

• German first, English as the bridge. Every German line comes with its English translation, and the explanations are in clear English at your level. The Arabic sits behind the ع button and is being added level by level.
• Hear it, then say it. The German is read by two clear synthetic German voices (a female voice, and a male voice for the second speaker), added level by level; you can record yourself and compare.
• The Goethe style, honestly. The exam practice follows the format of Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start Deutsch 1), A2, B1 and B2: the parts, the timings and the task types. We write every task ourselves and never copy an exam paper.
• Know where Arabic speakers get stuck: ü, ö and the ch sounds, der, die and das, the cases, and the verb in second position or at the end.
• Be honest. Placement and course results are guidance for your learning, not official certificates; time estimates are estimates, not guarantees.

Exam practice follows the style of the Goethe-Zertifikat exams. Masar Deutsch is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by the Goethe-Institut, and its mock exams are not official papers.
